2021 Sea Slopes Pinot Noir
A deep garnet hue, this Coastal Pinot Noir has alluring aromatics of violets, rose petals, raspberry and blackberry. Luscious flavors of cherry, plum and bramble berries with a dash baking spices are framed by plush tannins. The lively acidity and elegant characteristics of pure Pinot Noir fruit linger through the lengthy finish.

Nicely ripe fruit and a rather warm, soft mouthfeel make this medium-bodied wine easy to like. Red cherries, cherry pie and a slight cranberry slant keep the flavors interesting, while light tannins and a nip of acidity add good balance. Jim Gordon, March 2023

Medium ruby color. Such a fresh, floral nose with tangy red plums, wild raspberries, bright strawberries, along with complex notes of rhubarb, rose petals, deep earth, violets. The palate shows moderate but chewy tannins and vibrant acidity, which makes for a lovely, balanced wine, with flavors of zesty cranberry relish and juicy black cherries. There are a host of savory but vibrant accents in this wine (rhubarb, spiced tea, anise). Fun and fresh but serious complexity and balance, not to mention value. Aged nine months in 20% new French oak. Isaac James Baker, July 2023

Pisoni opts for a light, bright style here, one that is focused on strawberry and cherry fruit, with moderate oak spice, zippy acidity and a spicy finish push. This Pinot Noir could use a little time to fully integrate the spice components, so decant it well if you decide to enjoy it near term. Rich Cook, August 2023
